Accuracy Statements

IS-50

IS-50Click the graph to enlarge

0.01% IS-50 Accuracy means from 50% to 100% of the pressure range of a transducer, accuracy is 0.01% of Reading.
Below 50% of the pressure range, transducer accuracy is 0.005% of Full Scale.

% Full Scale % FS means the difference between the measured pressure and the actual pressure is within a percentage of the full range of the transducer.
i.e. The applied pressure to a 0.01% FS, 1500 psi transducer reading 500 psi is 500 psi ± 0.15 psi.
% Reading % RDG means the difference between the measured pressure and the actual pressure is within a percentage of the measured value.i.e. The applied pressure to a 0.01% RDG, 1500 psi transducer reading 500 psi is 500 psi ± 0.05 psi
Total Uncertainty vs. Accuracy Accuracy statements take into account a defined range of errors listed by the manufacturer on the datasheet. Errors usually included in accuracy statements are: Linearity, Repeatability, Hysteresis, and sometimes Temperature Effects over a defined range. Accuracy is usually expressed as a percentage.
Total Uncertainty takes into account all factors which could effect the pressure reading. Total Uncertainty is usually expressed in parts per million.0.020% is 200 ppm.
