Honeywell

The Ø19 mm Honeywell Sensym pressure transducer is a low-cost, media-isolated OEM sensor with a wide range of available pressure connections. These sensors are an excellent choice for monitoring the pressure of liquids or gasses compatible with 316 stainless steel.

Available in temperature compensated, uncompensated, and vacuum gauge models.
Pressure ranges from 0-3 to 0-500 psi absolute or gauge.
Pressure connections include o-ring seal, 1/8″ or 1/4″ NPT, 7/16″ UNF, 1/4″ BSPP, and VCR Female.
Output is 100 mA full scale.
Nonlinearity is approx. 0.25% FS.

Compensated sensors require 10V DC or 1.5 mA excitation, Uncompensated require 5V DC or 1 mA.
Vacuum Gauge models read zero at 1 atm, and 100 mA at full vacuum range.

13 series

The Ø13 mm Honeywell Sensym pressure transducer is practically the same chip-in-oil media-isolated piezoresistive pressure sensor as the Ø19 mm series but in a smaller package for higher pressure applications.

Available in o-ring seal, 1/8″ or 1/4″ NPT, or 7/16″ UNF.
Pressure ranges are 0-500, 1000, 2000, 3000, or 5000 psi absolute or sealed gauge reference.

SPT

The Honeywell Sensym SPT Series are low-cost, media isolated, temperature compensated pressure transmitters.

Available pressure ranges 0-3 to 0-5000 psi absolute, gauge, sealed gauge, or vacuum gauge.
Available outputs: 4..20 mA, 1-5V DC, 0-100 mV.
Nonlinearity is 0.25% FS.
Temperature compensated -10°C to 85°C.

ABH

Honeywell Sensing and Control (Formerly Data Instruments) Model ABH media isolated pressure transmitters are excellent for high pressure and/or flush-mount applications.

Available pressure ranges 0-6 to 0-20,000 psi absolute, gauge, or sealed gauge.
Input: 5V DC
Output: 0-100 mV.
Nonlinearity is 0.25% FS.
Temperature compensated -1°C to 71°C.

Honeywell Sensing and Control (Formerly Data Instruments) Model SA harsh duty pressure transducers meet MIL SPEC 810C random vibration to 20.7 g rms.

Available pressure ranges 0-15 to 0-200 psi absolute, 0-15 to 0-50 psi gauge, 0-500 to 0-7000 psi sealed gauge, or 0-1 to 0-350 Bar.
Input: 9-20V DC
Output: 1-6 V DC.
Accuracy is 1% FS.
Temperature compensated -1°C to 85°C.

XPRO

Honeywell Sensing and Control (Formerly Data Instruments) Model XPRO pressure transmitters combine a noise-resistant 4..20 mA signal loop with a fully brazed assembly for Class 1 Div 1 intrinsically safe rating.

Available pressure ranges 0-15 to 0-200 psi absolute, 0-15 to 0-50 psi gauge, 0-500 to 0-7000 psi sealed gauge, or 0-1 to 0-500 Bar.
Input: 12-40V DC
Output: 4..20 mA.
Accuracy is 1% FS.
Temperature compensated -1°C to 54°C.

MLH

The Honeywell Sensym MLH Series pressure transmitters combine highly reliable media isolated piezoresistive pressure sensors with digital signal processing to offer a wide range of electrical outputs and high accuracy over a wide temperature range.

Available pressure ranges: 0-50 to 0-8000 psi gauge or sealed gauge.
Available outputs: 0.5-4.5 V DC ratiometric, 4..20 mA, 1-6 V DC regulated and others.
Accuracy is 0.25% FS > 100 psi, 0.5% FS < 100 psi

PPT

Formerly Known as Honeywell SSEC (Solid State Electronics Center), Honeywell Aerospace manufactures rugged, high quality piezoreistive MEMS pressure sensors for research and aerospace applications.

The Precision Pressure Transducer is digitally compensated over a wide temperature range and is available for absolute, gauge, and differential measurement of non-corrosive, non-condensing gasses.

Available pressure ranges: 0-1 to 0-500 psi absolute, gauge, or differential.
Accuracy: ±0.1% FS Max, Digital. ±0.12% FS Max, Analogue.
Available Outputs: RS-232 and 0-5V DC, or RS-485 and 0-5V DC.
Temperature Compensated Range: -40°C to 85°C
Meets FAA AWOS specification for Class 1 & 2 pressure instrumentation.

PPTR

The Honeywell Ruggedized Precision Pressure Transducer (PPTR) is a 316 stainless steel version of the successful PPT designed for use in harsh environments such as high vibration or liquid media. The PPTR is available in a submersible design with a Seacon Connector (option -R111 or -R120, absolute reference only.) and an explosion-proof model (PPTE).

Available pressure ranges: 0-10 to 0-3000 psi absolute or gauge.
Accuracy: ±0.2% FS Max, Digital. ±0.24% FS Max, Analogue.
Available Outputs: RS-232 and 0-5V DC, or RS-485 and 0-5V DC.
Temperature Compensated Range: -40°C to 85°C

HPB

The Honeywell Precision Barometer (HPB) is designed to provide stable and reliable barometric pressure readings over a wide variety of real-world conditions. The microprocessor based signal compensation circuitry eliminates the need to insulate or heat/cool this precision barometer.

Pressure Range: 500 – 1200 hPa
Accuracy: ±0.4 hPa
Compensated Temperature Range: -40°C to 85°C
Input: 5.5-30V DC
Output Options: RS-232, RS-485, or low-power TTL.
For use with non-corrosive, non-condensing gasses only.
Meets FAA AWOS specification for Class 1 & Indoor barometer instrumentation.

HPA

The Honeywell Precision Altimeter (HPA) is the same as the HPB but with an altimeter pressure range.

Pressure Range: 0 – 17.6 psia
Accuracy: ±0.03%FS
Compensated Temperature Range: -40°C to 85°C
Input: 5.5-30V DC
Output Options: RS-232, RS-485, or low-power TTL.
For use with non-corrosive, non-condensing gasses only.

Linear Transducers

Waters was acquired by Data Instruments which was then acquired by Honeywell and merged into their Sensing and Control Division. Technel stocks some hard-to-find and obsoleted models as drop-in replacement parts.

Longfellow II

Originally manufactured by Waters, the Honeywell Data Instruments Longfellow II is available in lengths to 48″. The Honeywell LFII linear potentiometer uses a proprietary MystR® conductive plastic film element and a vibration-damped wiper.

Rated intrinsically safe for indoor and outdoor NEMA 4 environments, the Honeywell LF2 is a drop-in replacement for existing Waters, Data Instruments, Novotechnik, Gefran or Sfernice units.

Nominal Resistance is 5000Ω over the specified electrical travel.
Linearity is 0.1% FS.

Short-Longfellow

Since Honeywell’s acquisition of Data Instruments, the DI-Waters Short-Longfellow has been manufactured in lengths up to 6″. The Honeywell SLF linear potentiometer uses a proprietary MystR® conductive plastic film element and a vibration-damped wiper.

Rated intrinsically safe for indoor and outdoor NEMA 4 environments.

Electrical Resistance is 1500Ω/inch, standard linearity is 1.0%FS, optional is 0.1%FS.

MLT and LT

The Honeywell small diameter LT and MLT linear potentiometers, originally manufactured by Data Instruments utilize a proprietary dual-wiper system and internal spring-loaded ball joint to provide smooth, reliable operation even at high vibration levels.

The MLT is available in lengths from ½” to 6″ and the LT from 1″ to 10″.
Nominal Resistance is 1000Ω/inch for the LT and 1500Ω/inch for the MLT.
Linearity is 1.0%, optionally 0.1% bfsl.

DuraStar

The Honeywell DuraStar shaftless linear potentiometer, originally from Data Instruments, is the longest-lasting factory-rugged linear pot available today. The rodless side-sealed DuraStar can be used to replace a rodded potentiometer in contaminated applications and has a longer service life than most pots due to reduced dither.

The DuraStar is available in lengths from 4″ to 50″ with a total resistance of 2000, 5000, or 10,000Ω depending on length (please refer to datasheet).
Linearity is 0.1%.
