Technel designed, built, tested and provided on-site installation assistance for an all pneumatic pressure calibration bench which was recently delivered to a large Ontario electric utility.
Designed for use by technicians, who will be sitting or standing, the 12 foot long stainless panel and bench incorporates all the necessary calibration equipment to handle calibrating instruments that require pressures from Vacuum to 5,000 psi.
Incorporated into the panel is a passive vacuum generator that can create a negative pressure to 27" Hg.
For the higher pressures, a pressure intensifier is mounted in the panel that provides a base pressure of 5,000 psi. By using a series of pressure regulators, reduced pressures are made available as inputs to a series of Eaton Pneumatic Pressure Calibrators that provide a total of 9 calibration ranges from 0 to 20 psi up to 0 to 5,000 psi; each range with an accuracy of ± .05% F.S.
Existing calibration equipment was also incorporated into the panel design along with precision dial gauges in order to assist the calibration technicians.
